Bertha Joy Graves, age 92, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023. She was born on January 10, 1931, in Tampa, Florida. Bertha lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind cherished memories with her loved ones.
Bertha dedicated much of her life to her family, embodying the role of a loving and caring homemaker. In addition, she worked as a clerk for the US Postal service in Lutz, Florida. Bertha demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to her responsibilities.
As a faithful follower, Bertha attended and was a member of the Baptist church, finding solace and strength in her faith throughout her life. Her devotion to her spiritual beliefs brought her comfort and guidance.
Bertha is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Anita Strickland, who passed away in 1981. She leaves behind a legacy of love and a lifetime of memories for her surviving family and friends. Her son, Charles G. Tucker, and daughters, Charlene Terry and Karla Jones, mourn her loss deeply. She is also survived by her caring son-in-law, Randy Terry, and son-in-law Rick Jones.
Bertha’s memory will forever live on through her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was an adored grandmother who showered her family with affection and support. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned at this time. As we bid farewell to Bertha Joy Graves, let us remember her for her kind heart, unwavering love, and devotion to her family. May she rest in peace, knowing she made a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know her.
