Carol Jean Fuller
June 27, 1949 - January 18, 2023

Carol J. Fuller (Mitchell), 73, of Lutz, Florida, died peacefully on January 18, 2023.
She was the youngest daughter of the late Loretta Mitchell (Hughes) and the late Jack
Mitchell. Beloved wife of John Fuller of Lutz, FL, Devoted mother of Kristy Peterson
(Fuller) of Longmont, Colorado and John Fuller of Wyoming, Michigan, and
grandmother to Cadence Peterson. Sister of Nancy Mitchell Germain of Wayland, MA,
Jane Mitchell Alamo of Poughkeepsie, NY, Mary Mitchell DeLuca of Endwell, NY and
Jacqueline Mitchell Atkinson of Temple, GA.
Carol was born and raised in Binghamton, NY, graduating from Binghamton Central
High School. She received her RN degree from Duchess Community College and her
BSW from the University of South Florida. She worked as a registered nurse for over 30
years; retiring from Kindred Hospital.
Carol enjoyed running, participating in many 5K races and in one Disney Marathon. She
also loved all her cats. Carol was devoted to her kids and ensured John and Kristy had
the best childhood a mother could give. When John and Kristy were younger Carol
loved watching them participate in sports, took photos for the local newspaper, went to
Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, and when her granddaughter was younger she
traveled as far as Alaska and Hawaii to be with her.
Anyone lucky enough to have had Carol in their lives – as a wife, mother, grandmother,
aunt, sister, or friend – will mourn her loss. But they can take comfort in knowing she
loves them, and is watching over them, from above.

My dear sister – you will be missed. We have so many wonderful memories of you and the “sister week” trips we took each year.
John 11:25-26 “Jesus said. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.’ ”

My condolences to the family of Carol. I worked with Carol for many years at Kindred. She was an amazing woman and nurse and taught me a lot. Sad to hear of her passing.

You simply amazed me. Out of the three amigos, you were the only one to do a triathlon, you were the first to do a 50k, and on many of the races, you carried your stash of cokes. When Linda, you, and I went to Tennessee for a 1/2 marathon, Linda and I wondered where we were going to put our suitcases. You packed for a week. We have the fond memory of you and your beloved Krispy Kreme donuts. One time while you were driving, you had a box of Krispy Kremes on the dashboard. We watched them go zip, zip, zip into your mouth like a Bluray player inserting a disk. Visiting at your home was a must see of all your precious cats. May you fly high in Heaven as you watch over your loved ones.
