Earl “Curly” H. Benedict, Jr.
February 14, 1931 - December 16, 2022

Earl “Curly” Benedict, Jr., 91 of Zephyrhills, passed away December 16, 2022. He was born in Pike, New York and moved to Florida in 2004 from New York. Earl was the Supervisor for the town of Mentz, New York and owned and operated School Auto Mechanic. He was an honorably discahrged US Army veteran, a member of AmVets, the VFW, Eagles, Moose, Lions and the American Legion both in New York and Zephyrhills. Curly enjoyed playing cards at his clubhouse when he wasn’t working, cutting his friends’ hair as well as spending time with his family and friends and going to Zephyrhills Brewery.

He is survived by his daughters, Virginia Halstead, Cindy (Steve) Wyman and Debra Benson and his brother, Carl Benedict. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Christy, Julie, Jimmy, Michael, Erika, Andrea, Jason and 6 great-grandchildren.

Earl was predeceased by his wife, Mamie in 2004 and 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Alden.

A Celebration of his life will be held in New York in the spring.
