Edna Mae Woods Daniels
January 9, 1947 - March 15, 2023

Edna Mae Woods was born on Thursday January 9,1947 to the late Major Woods and Edna L Woods in Newton, Texas. She graduated from Winslow High School in Winslow AZ and University of California Berkley.

Edna resided in Texas, Arizona, California, Washington D.C., and her final resting place Wesley Chapel Florida. She retired from IBM and the University of Florida.

Edna accepted Christ at an early age and loved the Lord very dearly. During her years of serving the Lord she was a devoted Sunday School and Children’s Church teacher at Glendale Missionary Baptist Church Miami, FL She loved doing conference on how to grow your Sunday School for the Southern Baptist Convention. In which she would travel throughout Florida teaching pastors and Sunday School teachers. She joined Idlewild Baptist Church where she was a devoted host up until her passing.

On November 23,1987, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Albert W Daniels Jr. They were happily married for 35 years.

On Wednesday, March 15,2023 Edna left her earthly home for her Heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her father Major Woods, brother Ezell Woods, brother-in-law Kenny Daniels, nieces Yvonne McDonald, Chastin Stein, and Angel Beach.

To cherish her gracious memories, she leaves behind her husband, Albert W Daniels Jr.; mother, Edna L Woods; son Albert W (Myra) Daniels III of Washington DC; daughter, NeKisha (David) Zackery of Columbus GA; son/nephew, Charles (Diane) Stein of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren: Shaquenta Zackery, Trevion Moore, and David Zackery Jr. Siblings: Raner C Woods, Edna Madetrist Woods-Bride, and Janetha Stein all from Fort Worth TX. sister-in-law, Mary Alice Daniels of Miami FL; brother-in-law, Roland (Joyce) Daniels of Wesley Chapel, FL; godchildren, Andre (Demechia) Stein of Dallas, TX,Maisha Sykes of Irving, TX, Chasta (Keith) Jefferson of Los Angeles, CA, Morgan Williams, Dana Ferguson Jr, and Devon Ferguson all from Miami, FL; nephews: Lincoln Minor Jr of Los Angeles, CA, Raner (Donna) Woods Jr of Mansfield, TX, Charles Stein Jr Houston, TX, and Don ( Schereka) Stein Fort Worth, TX; nieces: Fernae Woods of Ft Worth, TX, Dierdre Woods, Renee Woods, Vernee Woods, Rachel Woods, Elaine Woods all from Colorado, Tristan Stein and Asia Jackson both from Fort Worth, TX; closest friends like a sister: Joyce King Jones of Ocala, FL and Lynnette Hodges of Miami, FL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:00am at Idlewild Baptist Church, 18333 Exciting Idlewild Boulevard, Lutz, Florida 33548.
