Ed was born in NYC and was the second oldest child, having four sisters and one brother. He was a very intelligent man who was a proud graduate of Columbia University, where he earned his master’s degree in business.
He enjoyed a long and successful career in publishing, including a decade at Readers Digest. His greatest achievement, however, was his family. Ed is survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Linda Valentino Michel, two sisters and brother, four sons, five bonus children, and fifteen grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as Grampy the Clown.
Ed will be remembered for his dry wit, his kindness, and gentle nature.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to donate in Ed’s name to your charity of choice.
