Emma Naomi Huffman passed away February 6th, 2024, in Tampa Bay, Florida. She was born August 7th, 2003 in Springfield, Missouri. Emma was a recent graduate of Central High School in Springfield Missouri. She excelled in the IB program. Her interests included: Student Council, HOSA, Robotics, State Leadership Conferences, 4-year starter in softball and varsity soccer. She leaves behind countless friends and teachers who are forever impacted by her life and devotion to her school.
Emma was currently enrolled at the University of South Florida and had just completed her first semester of her sophomore year. She was a biology major with a medical biology concentration. She was working at Moffitt Cancer Center and recently received her Medical Assistant Certification. Other certifications include CPR, AED, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Mental Health First Aid. She was a campus Ambassador at the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. She was passionate about raising awareness and inspiring students to become volunteer donors. Emma founded Mu Epsilon Delta, at the University of South Florida. She saw a need on campus for a fraternal organization to assist those interested in medical school with networking and mentoring opportunities. Emma was a light to all who she encountered. She always made sure everyone she met was included and felt loved. Her Instagram statement, was, “I like you already”. She was a force to be reckoned with and her energy, love and enthusiasm touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
She is survived by: Stuart & Summer Huffman (parents), Anne Davis (sister) (married to Collin Davis), Chloe Huffman (sister), Christopher Huffman (brother), Ron and Fran Huffman (grandparents), and family and friends. If we were to list every important and cherished name, then you would understand what it meant to be Emma. May we remember Emma by becoming who she was when she was standing beside us.
