On Friday, September 17, 2021, Eric Glenn Garner was called home at the age of 54. The world lost a great son, brother, husband, father and friend.
Eric was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 17, 1966.He relocated with his wife and son to New Port Richey, Florida in 2015 where he enjoyed taking care of his pool, sharing his love for music, and watching sports. Eric was a true Purdue and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Anyone that knew him knew he was the life of the party.
Eric graduated from Lebanon High School in 1985 and later became a HVAC Maintenance Technician that received his certification through ITT Technical Institute. But if asked, Eric would say his greatest accomplishment was meeting his loving wife, Regina Hughes, where they first met at a middle school dance all those years ago. Their love rekindled years later at “Old Indiana Fun Park” formerly located in Thorntown, Indiana where they both worked. They created a life together of 25 years and 22 years of marriage. That love grew to include Regina’s young daughters, Rebecca Hughes, and Sunshine Vanlandingham, and together had their only son, Cole Levi Garner.
Eric is survived by his wife, Regina Hughes Garner, brother Jeff Garner, son Cole Garner, and bonus daughters Rebecca Hughes (Doug Podgers) and Sunshine Stillwell (Steve Stillwell). He is preceded in death by his father, Cletus Glenn Garner and his mother Shirley Mae Garner.
Join us for a future celebration of life and Memorial for Eric at the Eagles Club located at 2140 N. Lebanon St, Lebanon, IN 46052, date and time to be determined that the family will share later.
