Frank Altion Alvarez
June 2, 1936 - March 2, 2023

Frank Altion Alvarez, 86 of Dade City, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was a true Floridian having been born in Starke, Florida and living in Dade City since the 1960’s. He was a roofer for many years and also a maintenance person for Dade City. He was Christian and read the Bible everyday and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and playing the guitar. He was a man of many talents.

Altion (as many knew him) is survived by his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Alvarez, his “daughter”, Helen Williams and special friend, Bill Wright and several half brothers and sisters and their families. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kyle, Marcus, Joey (Shannon)  and Ariell; great-grandchildren, Brantley, Bryleigh, Bryson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret in 2022 and his son, William Alvarez in 2018, his parents, Charlie Alvarez and Margaret (Blackburn) Alvarez, as well as his brothers, Royce and Dick and his sisters, Evelyn, Vera and Audrey.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Julie Zamora for all her help and kindness throughout Altion’s and Margaret’s lives; it meant the world to them.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
