Garry Wayne Sutherland, 62 of Zephyrhills, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He moved to Florida in 2004 from Tennessee and was a construction superintendant, overseeing the construction of many hospitals, colleges and other large projects. Gary enjoyed going to the beach (which was his “happy place”), being on the water in his boat, fishing, NASCAR and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Benjamin Sutherland; 3 daughters, Courtney and her husband, Brian Phillips, Taylor Sutherland, and Brandy Wornack; his brother, Dale Sutherland and sister, Tammy Sutherland. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sydney Harless, Jesse Sutherland, Joseph Sutherland, Hayden Sutherland, Austin Williams, Hannah Phillips, Gavin Massey and Ally Massey as well as his great-granddaughter, Ellie.
Gary was predeceased by his soulmate, Denise Minot in November of 2021.
