Gordon “Boom” Boomhower
September 26, 1937 - March 22, 2023

Gordon “Boom” Boomhower, 85 of Zephyrhills and formerly of Vermont, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Gordon and his wife started as “snowbirds” and moved permanently to Zephyrhills in 2015. He was a supervisor at a Paper Mill in Vermont and was a member of the National Guard, the American Legion and different camping groups. Boom enjoyed camping, hunting, NASCAR, was an avid reader and loved animals.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 61 years, Carlene; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Richard Therrien and Beth and Kevin Wyman as well as his grandchildren, Cody and his wife, Megan Wyman and Logan Wyman. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren, Bryson and Brooke and his cat, Babe.

Services will be held in Vermont at a later date.

    Carlene, Melissa, Beth and families. I’m so sad to hear about Gordon. What a great guy and was a good friend to my dad. I’m hoping they are up there talking about the old days and enjoying a nice cold beer. RIP
