Sending all the loves, hugs and prayers for Deanna and the family.
Thankful God brought Gus your family to love him and be by his side and to not only introduce him to Jesus but experience His love and acceptance, this side of Heaven- where now He gets Jesus up close and personal, until we can all be together one day!

My condolences to you and your family as the loss of your Baba. I know you will miss him greatly. I love the scripture “ to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. I will miss the conversations you had with Gus. Praying for comfort and peace during this time of grieving.❤️❤️

And later, when she asks, I’ll say some parts of it were beautiful – how in their brightness and sudden opening the faces of the neighbours
began to look like flowers. I’ll tell her how we began to look back at photos
of our younger selves with our arms around a stranger or leaning on the shoulders of friends, and saw that touch had always been a kind of holiness,
a type of worship we were promised. I’ll tell her that in some ways our days shrunk to nothing, being both as long as a year
and as quick as the turning of a page. I’ll tell her how she learned to crawl in those days, in those times when we could not leave,
when bodies were carried from homes and were not counted, that she began to say her first word while death waited in the streets, that though I was afraid,
I never saw fear in her eyes.

We join you in celebrating Gus’s life and the incredible story of how you found him. We “weep with those that weep,”as well, as you say “see you later,” to your beloved father (baba). May the Lord comfort you, dry your tears and bring you peace. We love you all. Good bye, Gus. We will see you soon.

We searched exhaustingly and extensively for many years, were thrilled and amazed you found him and were finally reunited, and just six short months later he was gone. Seems like a blink of an eye, but every second of being together is golden and will surely give you love and peace for the remainder of your days. Truly his memory is a blessing for us all.

There can be no justice without truth. And there can be no truth, unless someone rises up to tell you the truth. Peace and justice are two sides of the same coin.
