Henedina “Dinah” Danao
March 11, 1946 - April 24, 2022

Henedina (Dinah) Mortera Danao was born to the late Jesus and Emilia Mortera in Zamboanga, Philippines.  She traveled to the United States from the Philippines in 1981 with her late husband Arthur F. Danao and four children.  In 1998, Dinah became a care taker to her late husband for 17 years.  There are no words to describe the love and devotion she gave Arthur until he passed away in 2014.  Dinah moved to Wesley Chapel, Florida from New Jersey in October of 2015 where she became very active in her church, St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Philippine Cultural Foundation in Tampa.

Dinah was very proud to be a founding member and first President of MUSA (Mindanaoan USA).  She enjoyed being part of the bamboo orchestra, ballroom dancing and loved singing in the church choir. 

Dinah has taught us all to live our lives to the fullest, love with all our hearts and be kind to everyone we meet.  She will be dearly missed. 

Dinah is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Iraida Cesar and Leonard and Ruth Danao; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynnette and David Wisk and Jessica and Ryan Lowery. Also surviving is her brother, Tommy and sisters, Emelyn, Ruth and Ester; her beloved grandchildren, Destinee, Raideen, Shevanee, Jacquie, Julia, Victoria and Adreanna and great-grandchildren, Miguel, Devanee, Maxim, Diani, Makai, Jonson and Maili and many, many friends.

Dinah is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; brothers, Ramon and Bobby and sisters, Guadalupe, Pilar and Ann.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, May 10th at 10:00 am at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
