James Maloy Holland Jr.
May 10, 1957 - March 5, 2023

James Maloy Holland, (65), of Land O Lakes, Florida, passed away on March 5, 2023,
surrounded by family.
James, fondly known as Jim, was born to James and Patricia Holland, on May 10, 1957, in
Douglas, Georgia. His family later moved to Tampa, Florida, where he grew up, graduating from
Chamberlain High School in 1975. The first chapter of his career began at Winn Dixie, where he
served in various leadership roles for more than three decades, many of them in Lutz, Florida.
From there, he served 17 years at Republic National Distributing Company where he continued
to lead and mentor others as a District Manager.
Jim was a hardworking, kind, and generous man best known for his love of sports, cruising (37
cruises!) and most of all, his family. He found joy in giving and showered those he loved with
plenty of goodies over the years. Family time was the best time. The Bucs winning two Super
Bowls and the Rays making it to the World Series twice was probably the second best.
Jim is survived by his beautiful wife Susan and their two children, Jaime and her husband Josh
and Adam and his wife Rosalie, along with his grandchildren, Acadia, Corbin, Seth, Evan,
Henry, and Baby Boy Holland arriving this summer.
He is also survived by his sister, Lana Farmer, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Phyllis
Jones, nephews and nieces Daniel, Ryan, Derek and Rachel, and countless friends who were
like family. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James, and Patricia.
The Holland family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 18, 2023, beginning with a
visitation at 10:00 a.m. The service will be at Bay Hope Church, located at 17030 Lakeshore
Road in Lutz. The service will be live-streamed here:

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family, and my heart beats especially strong for my dear friend Jaime. I am grateful to Jim for falling madly in love with beautiful Susan . . . and for Susan giving birth to sweet Jaime. Jaime is a lover, a supporter of many and a person who is tireless in her acts of love for others. Jaime is a dear friend, a fixer, a selfless person, a diva in her own right, a prolific and talented writer, an organizer, and a sweet woman with a beautiful heart. I am blessed to have Jaime in my life!!! God Bless you all in this difficult time and thank you to Jim and his whole family for the blessings you all have bestowed on me and so many people — simply by being YOU. What a GREAT family!!
