James S. Biek
December 4, 1929 - February 9, 2024

James S. Biek, a beloved member of the community, passed away at the age of 94 on February 9, 2024. He was born on December 4, 1929, in South Bend, Indiana, and departed from this world in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Throughout his life, James held significant positions as a Credit Manager for Uniroyal and Sysco Foods, where he showcased his exceptional skills and dedication. Aside from his professional endeavors, James had a passion for various activities, including playing golf and bowling. He particularly enjoyed following Notre Dame football games and was a devoted member of the 3 Degree Knights of Columbus at St. Linus Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Jim was a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was a Sgt. in the army demolitions, when he returned from Korea he want to work at the Studebaker company in South Bend, In.

James is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Rita, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his parents, Stuart and Elodie Vlerick Biek. His memory will forever be cherished by his sons, Martin (Debbie), Mike (Donna), Matt (Robin), daughters Maureen (James Manor), Marsha Tenaglia, along with eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A service to honor and celebrate James’ life will be held in Michigan at a later date. During this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of James S. Biek. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his legacy continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Jim’s name to: St. Jude Research Hospital.

    Sincerest sympathies to the all the Biek Family. Mr & Mrs. Biek always welcomed their children’s friends into their home like they were their children.
