BOUCHARD, Jennifer Fisher
62, of Lutz, FL, passed peacefully in hospice care, and went into the light of our
Heavenly Father, on September 1, 2023, after a one-year battle with an
unforgiving illness. Born to Daniel and Jane (Schaffer) Fisher in Cumberland,
Maryland on July 9, 1961, she grew up in her hometown and graduated from Fort
Hill High School in 1979. She attended Allegany Community College for two years,
and received her four-year bachelor’s degree from Longwood College in Farmville,
Virginia in 1983. She moved to Atlanta, Ga., where she worked with special needs
children. That is where she also met her future husband. She then moved to
Chapel Hill, NC, and worked as the Assistant Director of Volunteer Services at The
University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill for 17 years.
She married her husband, Edward Bouchard, at Centre Street United Methodist
Church in Cumberland, MD on June 26, 1999. They moved to Tampa, FL in June
2004, and their son Nicholas was born one month later. She raised him to be a
young man with a kind heart, and warmth and compassion for others, especially
She will be remembered by her family and friends for her radiant smile, her kind
heart, her love of her family and friends, and her love of God and her church. She
will especially be remembered for her passionate devotion to her beloved
Maryland Terrapins, and the Baltimore Orioles. She was a true Maryland girl.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Edward; her son, Nicholas; her brother Jeff; her
niece, Lindsey, and multiple other extended family members who will miss her
terribly but know she is now bathed in the light of God’s grace and embrace.
A service will be held at Old Hyde Park United Methodist Church in Tampa, on
September 14, 2023 at 11:00 am.
