Gerald “Jerry” Lundquist, 73, passed away August 21, 2018. He was born July 20, 1945, in Detroit, MI. Graduating from Cass Tech High School, he learned the trade to be a printer. He retired from his chosen field in 2010. He was also a sergeant in the Marine Corps (Reserves). Caribbean cruises with his wife, Kathy, who preceded him in death in 2014 and golfing with his buddies, were his favorite pastimes. Everything Jerry attempted was done well. He worked hard all his life to be a good man. He succeeded. No one he touched was not left unchanged for the better. He was humble, funny and kind. Generous with his time; help to others. His smile to warm and melt hearts. He is survived by his loving sister, Loraine Kirkey; her children, Jill, Kevin, Scott, Tammy and Laura with their families. His favorite daughter, Jane; husband, Peter Abela. His cherished granddaughter, Emma Kathryn. Per his wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Please consider a donation to Suncoast Hospice.
