Joel Roman Mercado, 39 of Zephyrhills, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Joel was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida in 2013 from Colorado. He was Pentecostal in faith and worked as a handyman. Joel loved to travel, dine out, walk, going to the beach, nature and most of all, spending time with his family doing everything he loved.
Joel is survived by his son, Carlos Nicolas Diaz; daughter, Zoemarie Roman; his mother, Maria A. Mercado; and his brother, Jose Roman. Also surviving are his sisters, Claire Y. Dominguez, Brigida Roamn and Jasmine Valle; 11 nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11-1 pm with Funeral services to take place at 1 pm at Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care 4911 Allen Road Zephyrhills, Florida 33541.
