John A. Piekutowski, 71 of St. Petersburg’s, passed September 11, 2018 survived by: Daughter Stefanie Apamdoc, Portland, OR., sister Janet Tanner of Portsmouth, RI and a grandchild. John grew up in Middletown, RI, where he graduated from Middletown High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, John spent most of his career in the construction industry throughout the country. Services will be private.

John Anthony Piekutowski had two other children. He had a daughter named Kirsti Lynn and a son named John Robert. He wasn’t a father in the traditional sense. He didn’t have a relationship with us, but if it were not for his relationship with our mother for years we wouldn’t be here. Though I can’t say much about him I can say me and my brother wouldn’t be here without him. What a shame that even in death we still aren’t acknowledged. I remember watching Monday night football with him cheering the Raiders on. I remember enjoying the time with him as a kid when he wasn’t having issues with my mother. All I know is we at 34 & 30 and it’s a shame that until today, 4/20/19 I had no idea he had passed, and even though I haven’t seen or heard from him in years it still has me feeling some kind of way. Life is strange and death may be stranger.
