John “Model T John” Gallerani passed away on Tuesday, September 6th at the beautiful age of 98. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 1986 from Ashfield, Massachusetts. He was a machinist foreman and was Catholic in faith. John’s passion was refurbishing antique cars, especially Fords, and was a member of the Antique Auto Club of Zephyrhills. John took pride in the fact that he had worked on almost half of the cars at The Antique Car Museum located in Richmond, Indiana. He was a very ambitious man who at the age of 88 learned to play the guitar and took it one step further by making them; he had a 3D mind and made over 25 “cigar box” guitars and enjoyed jamming with different groups of musicians.
“Model T John” is survived by his daughters, Carol (Sid) Gallerani-Graves; and Karen Dee; his brother, Jordan Gallerani and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Robin, Kelly, Carrie, and Alexander and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Jolie and Madelyn.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Gallerani who passed away on April 5, 1997 and his second wife, Geneva Gallerani who passed away on June 22, 2011 as well as many other family members and friends.
