John Stephen Matatall Sr.
July 27, 1943 - February 4, 2024

John Stephen Matatall Sr. of Hampstead, NH passed away on February 4, 2024, at the
age of 80 in Wesley Chapel, Florida after a brief illness. Born on July 27, 1943, in
Boston, Massachusetts, he was the beloved husband of Joyce (Coletta) Matatall for 63
John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events,
and creating cherished memories together. He and his wife shared a love for travel,
exploring new places, and embarking on adventures alongside their grandchildren.
John also found joy in spending his winters as a snowbird in Naples, Florida.
In his professional life, John dedicated many years of service to Frank C. Meyer,
starting at the young age of 16 and continuing until his retirement in his 60s.
John is survived by his wife, Joyce (Coletta) Matatall, and their children: Katherine
Rossi and her husband Stephen, John Matatall and his fiancé Violetta, and Paul
Matatall and his wife Sara. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren:
Christopher, Kayla, Anyssa, Katrina, Nathan, Hallie, Owen, Gavin, and Jason, as well as
his great-grandchildren: Coralie, Matty, MacKenna, Mia, Carter, and Kennedy. He is
also survived by His brother Charles Matatall, sister Jean Ferreira, sister Patricia Murry
and partner Rick, sister Janet Schofield, and brother Kevin and wife Marianne.
John was predeceased by his daughter Deborah, his parents Louise and John Matatall,
his brother Tom, his sisters Janice Walsh and Marjorie Robichaud, and his brother-inlaw Richard Robichaud and sister-in-law Martha Matatall.
In honoring John’s wishes, no memorial services will be held. However, if you wish to
pay tribute to his memory, you may consider making a donation to The Doug Flutie Jr.

John Stephen Matatall Sr. will be remembered for his love for family, his passion for
travel, and his dedication to his work. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

    Joyce, I am so sorry to hear about John’s passing. I will always remember the times when Dennis and I went with John and you on those great motorcycle rides. Now they can ride together again. LoveYou Donna
