John Wayne Thompson
July 29, 1947 - March 5, 2024

John Wayne Thompson, born on July 29, 1947, bid farewell to this world on March 5, 2024, in Zephyrhills, Florida, at the age of 76. Hailing from Port Huron, Michigan, John was a man of many skills, primarily known as a self-employed carpenter by trade.

In his free time, John had a need for speed, with a passion for Nascar, motorcycles, hot rods, and anything that could rev its engine. He lived life in the fast lane, appreciating the thrill of the ride.

John made the move from Port Huron to Zephyrhills in 1990, seeking sunshine and adventure . He leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years (but together for 46 years), Sandra, who stood as his partner through all of life’s ups and downs.

His legacy lives on through his children; sons Richard (Alicia) and Thomas J, daughter Kari J. Woolfolk (Rocky), and his 7 cherished grandchildren – Noah, Kali, Laila, Paisly, Kaylie, Chloe, and Matthew and sister Nancy Howe.

John is now reunited with those who went before him, including  Virginia M. Cesefske, Stanley J. Cesefske, and Janice Smith.

As we reflect on the life of John W. Thompson, may we remember his spirit of adventure, love for family, and his knack for always moving forward. Rest in peace, John, and may the roads you travel now be open and clear.
