Johnnie Lynn Hatton January 15, 1946 – July 25, 2020
Johnnie Lynn is survived by his wife Sylvia Layne (Mann) Hatton; daughter, Terri Hatton; sons, Johnny L. (Sharon) and Mark (Brittany) Hatton, and Joe (Maurine) McClamma, and grandchildren, Mackenzie and Joseph as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Wayne and Herbert Raymond Hatton; sisters, Sarah Janelle Nikolai and Leona Ann Hovik; and his parents, John Berry and Mildred Jeanette Hatton. Johnny Lynn was a proud veteran of the United State Marine Corps who served during the Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged in 1968. After his military service, Johnnie Lynn spent the majority of his life as an over the road truck driver. He and his wife, Sylvia, enjoyed traveling throughout the US from coast to coast and making occasional stops to enjoy playing the slot machines at various casinos across the country. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Florida Gators and enjoyed watching football games with his daughter, Terri. Johnnie Lynn was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
At his request and due to the current health crisis the family will not hold services at this time. Instead, Lynn requested that all family and friends drink a beer in his honor, be happy, and enjoy life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society in Johnnie Lynn’s honor.
