Lawrence was a dear friend that I met in 1982. I found him to be extremely intelligent with a wide variety of accomplishments. I was always amazed at his ability to have a conversation with anyone, especially with people of high regard. His life stories were so interesting and colorful. I am a photographer, and he was my best subject. He helped me photograph some very unique people he knew that I would never have had the opportunity to photograph without him. I will miss him.
