
Martine “Tina” Truitt 89, passed into the arms of the Lord on this 3rd day in October 2018. She was a kind and loving soul who was Blessed with 3 grandsons, Brandon, Bryan and Chad Markiewicz whom she loved very much. She was also the Proud great grandmother of 6 wonderful children, Taylor, Haylee, Tyler, Jocelyn, Brooke, Charlie and a loving great-great granddaughter, Vivienne.
Tina grew up in St. Petersburg and graduated from St. Pete High in 1947. She married her forever sweet heart Max E Truitt in 1950 at the beautiful Sunken Gardens. They resided in St. Petersburg until the early 1980’s when they decided to retire to Fruitland Park, FL. Max passed away in 1986 and Tina remained there becoming an icon in her community by naming the street she lived on “West Griffin Dr”. She referred to her lake house as ” a little piece of heaven”.
Tina was active in her community where she met many wonderful people. She loved to garage sale, play cards, bowl and spend time with her twin sister Marjean Rowley. Tina attended Community United Methodist Church in Leesburg. She continued her faith in the Lord by attending Generations Christian Church with her daughter after relocating to New Port Richey in April 2017. Tina is survived by her only daughter and best friend Beverly Truitt Markiewicz along with many loving and caring family relatives. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at the Markiewicz Ranch, New Port Richey on November 17. 2018 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, with the Service at 12:00 noon; where Tina referred to her life as the “Best of Both Worlds”.
