Miguel Lopez Santiago
March 14, 1937 - July 5, 2022

Miguel Lopez Santiago, 85 passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born in
Puerto Rico where he lived until getting ill. He could grow anything and worked
maintenance at a greenhouse and also did construction. Miguel loved to grow
things, pick them, and then give the fruits of his labor away to all different people.
He was Catholic in faith and enjoyed lying in his hammock and hanging out with
friends.

Miguel is survived by his daughters, Lisa Lopez and Peggy Luciano; wife Carmen
Mendez Lopez, brothers; Victor (Maria) Lopez and Manuel Lopez as well as his
sister, Tany Roman and step-daughter, Linda Martinez. Also surviving are his
grandchildren, Bobbi (Tyler) Winters, Timothy Moore, Malaki Wilson, O’Shea
(Shoni) Gray, Michael Luciano, Yaisa Luciano and Sonja Luciano; 12 great-
grandchildren, and numerous great friends.

He is predeceased by his grandmother, Francisca Franco, his mother, Emeteria
Melendez; his sisters, Magdalene Romero, Virginia Lopez; brother, Daniel Lopez;
grandson, Michael Luciano, his step-son, Juan Martinez and his (former) wife, Willa
King.

Miguel will be laid to rest in Puerto Rico at a later date.

    Lisa, I am so sorry for your loss, I have always enjoyed seeing the posts of your travels to Puerto Rico. He will be missed by many.
