Peggy Lee Blythe
August 31, 1935 - October 5, 2023

Peggy Lee Blythe, 88, of Key Vista, FL (formerly of St. Albans, WV) died October 5, 2023, with loving family at her side.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Blythe, Sr, daughter, Karen Hooper, brother, Dennis Moses, and parents, Sherman and Cora Lee Moses.  What a joyous reunion she’s having now!

Peggy was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of First Baptist  Church St. Albans where she proudly served on various boards and committees.  She enjoyed playing cards, traveling,  shopping, and was an avid fan of General Hospital.   Her family was her top priority, and she was always ready to prepare comfort food including her now internet-famous Peggwich.

Over the decades, she was active in PTA, Band Boosters, and Homeroom Mothers.  She was a regular guest reader at her grandchildrens’ elementary schools.  Her kind and patient demeanor attracted children of all ages who lovingly referred to her as “Granny”.

Peggy is survived by her son, William (Bobbi Jo) Blythe, Jr of Green Valley, Arizona, her daughters Connie (Mike) Tenkhoff of St. Albans, Tyra (Bob) Dawson of Longwood, FL, and Stacey (Tim) Fischer of Key Vista, FL.   Also left to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren: Joey Haston, Mandy (Justin) Gillenwater, Andrew (Missy) Haston,  T. Michael (Jessica) Fischer, and Sean (Pablo) Fischer;  2 great grandchildren: Zoey Blythe Childers and Liam Parker Fischer;  5 bonus grandchildren, 11 bonus great grandchildren, and special niece, Christy Rivers.

Per Peggy’s wishes, her body will be cremated.  Her life will be celebrated eternally by those who truly loved her.

Coastal Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
