Richard “Bear” Ferranti
July 4, 1940 - October 10, 2022

Richard “Bear” Ferranti, 82 of Wesley Chapel, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 2005 from Arkansas. He was a longtime educator, spending most of his teaching time at Manchester High School in Connecticut. He helped many students with their career training, seeking out businesses to hire and train students as well as working concession stands at sporting events and anything else he could do to help out his students. Richard was a member of Chancy Road Christian Church and enjoyed reading, watching tv and playing UNO in his spare time.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 24 years, Sue Ferranti; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jenn Lombard; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ken Walton; step-daughters, Laura and her husband, Erick Carrizales, Angela and her husband, Brent Short and also Kimmie Carago. Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, John and Andrea Ferranti; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Ralph D’Amato; grandchildren, Christina, Chelsey, Brooke, Travis, Baily, Ella, Ava and Grayson as well as his brand new great-grandbaby, Kayden Bailey and his precious puppy, Hannah.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17 from 11:30 -1 o’clock pm at Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care 4911 Allen Road Zephyrhills, FL 33541 with his funeral service to take place at the funerel home at 1 pm.

    To my dear and loving husband. I miss u so much. U were the best husband I could ever ask for. Thank you for the best 24 year’s of my life. I will see you again someday in heaven
