Richard (Rick) D. Bryant born February 20th, 1956 in Carroll, Iowa to late Richard C. and Donna M. (Brown) Bryant passed away on January 7th, 2022 in Tampa, Florida. He is gone much too soon but will never be forgotten and missed by family and all who knew him eternally. He was a beloved father to daughters Julianne and Caroline who were the light of his life and the legacy of a devoted father. There is nothing that he was prouder of than his girls. Rick was the dad at the bus stop: the one that brought the drinks and snacks to the park, and the wry and stoic father at the Bryant house. The cool iconic Dylan fan that that was surprisingly chill even with ten girls at a slumber party! The one you went to for sensible advice and who would listen with patience and understanding. He had many “adopted” daughters that he considered family. He was a husband to Deborah (Deb) Bryant for 21 years and a friend longer even still. Rick was the partner you didn’t expect to find, the gentleman that never forgot about the small things and the best father a wife could be blessed for in a dad. The water to the fire, a teacher, lover and companion that will be forever missed but forever be in heart and mind. He is survived by siblings Richelle (Charles)Kelley, Timm Bryant (Debbie Jeter), Sharon (Jose) Diaz, Lori Bryant & Lowell (Donna Gail) Bryant. Many other family members including nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, nephews and fur babies Flo, Ruben and Leo. Those who wish to remember Rick may join the family for a reception at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral home 1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA on Saturday, January the 15th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
