Rita Elenia Zorrilla, 85 of Zephyrhills passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida in 2002 from New York City where she had been a cook at a day care for over 28 years. She was Catholic in faith and loved to bake, crochet and sew; she made many items for her family and friends.
Rita is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jose; daughter, Susan Zorrilla; brothers, Gilbert and Robert Ortega; sisters, Ida Ortega, Judy Ortega, Maria Soto and Cassandra Marcano. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Justin Marcano, Douglas Zorrilla and Samantha Perez and 3 great-grnadhchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Diana Zorrilla and sister, Peggy both in 2019. Services will be held at a later date.
