
Ronald Wayne More, 79, Senior Chief Aviation Electrician’s Mate, United States Navy (Retired)
went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021, with his loving wife Doris by his
side at his home in Holiday, Florida. Ron retired from the Navy after 21 years of service and
went on to retire from Raytheon in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born November 17, 1941 in Madison, Indiana and raised in North Vernon, Indiana. He
was preceded in death by his parents, John W. More and Dorothy Thompson More and his first
wife Phyllis.
Surviving are his children Deborah (Danny) Driggers, Sandra (Steve-deceased) Clayton, Ed
(Cheryl) Bowles, Ron (Theresa) More, Leigh Ann (Steve) Beasley and step-children Debbie
(Brian) Crowe, and Todd Alvey.
Also, surviving are seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, brothers Fred (Joanne) More,
Pat (Rosemary) More, sister Jeannie (Rodney) Burnett and several nieces and nephews. Along
with many loyal friends.
There will be a memorial service to be held June 26, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church,
1700 E. Klosterman Road, Palm Harbor, Florida 34683 with Pastor John Fountouklis officiating.
He was a spiritual man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
