Rose Marie LaCrue
October 8, 1945 - May 13, 2022

Rose Marie LaCrue, 76 of Zephyrhills passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born on October 8,1945 to Felix and Marie Avila in Walsenburg, CO. Rose Marie worked as a Medical Transcriptionist until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Temple Terrace where she belonged to the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid seamstress and embroiderer; she enjoyed embroidering items for her church and spending time with her family. Although her name was Rose Marie, her favorite flowers were not roses, but tulips.

Rose Marie is survived by her children, Adina Marie LaCrue and Joseph Manuel and his wife, Alexis Nichole LaCrue. Also surviving are her four beloved grandchildren, Tynan, Alanna, Loghan, and Ona LaCrue.

She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Avila, Sr., mother, Marie Avila, sister, Charlotte Avila, brother, Felix Avila, Jr., nephew, Gaetano Avila, and her beloved husband, Donald E. LaCrue on May 1, 2022.

Rose Marie will be truly missed. A Rosary service will be held on Wedensday, June 8, 2022 with a Funeral Mass to be offered at 10 o’clock am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Aguilar, Colorado for both Don and Rose Marie.

    Rose was a lovely person. She was a terrific mom who loved her children and husband dearly. She was always nearby, ready to support their various endeavors. I remember Rose as a giving and loving person.
    I’m sorry for your loss and I hope the love from her many friends will console you at this time.
