
Thomas (Tom) Earl Bivins Sr.
ZEPHYRHILLS – Thomas Earl Bivins Sr., 80, passed away peacefully Friday, December 10, 2021 at The Rucki Hospice Care Center under the care of Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills Florida following an extended hospitalization at AdventHealth Center.
Tom was born August 20, 1941 in Belding Michigan, the son of Earl Edward and Marian Brown Bivins who have preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his brother James Bivins Sr., and sister Mary Schutte; sons Robert Bivins and Thomas Earl Bivins Jr., infant daughters Margaret Ann Bivins, Mary Alice Bivins, and stepson Ernest P. Smith Jr.
Tom is survived by his half-sister Renae McGregor, stepbrother Floyd “Terry” Satterlee, and stepsister Jacqueline “Jackie” Brooks; nephews James Bivins Jr. and Michael Bivins, niece Sandra Bivins; stepdaughters Patricia Nelson and Pamela Wilkins; grandchildren Bryon Nelson, Rebecca Nelson, Sarah Jones, Amanda Blackmer, Rachel Woodard, and Casey Smith, Katie Bivins, Lexy Bivins, and Livy Bivins, and several greatgrandchildren.
Tom graduated from Greenville High School, Greenville MI, was a member of the Moose Lodge, he worked as truck driver most of his life. He owned Flat River Transportation and was co-owner of the Little Denmark Bar in Greenville, Michigan, and later moved to Florida where he worked as groundskeeper at Saddlebrook Golf Club in Wesley Chapel before retiring. Tom loved to hunt, fish, have fun, and drink beer.
Cremation has been entrusted by Coastal Cremations in Zephyrhills Florida. A graveside memorial will take place at St. Charles Cemetery in Greenville Michigan, at a later date.
