Vassie Mott Wadsworth passed away on April 11, 2022, at age 97. She passed peacefully away at American House , where she had been in memory care.

Vassie was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Henry Wadsworth, “Buck”; and all of her Mott brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters, Kathryn Wadsworth, Sandra Goins and Gail Wadsworth Elliott; granddaughters Christine Jacobsen (Jon), Kimberly Elder (Cotton), Pamela Colello (Will); great-grandsons, Isaac Blake, Elijah Blake, Thomas Jacobsen; Kaleb Colello, Reid Colello and great-grandaughter, Emily Jacobsen; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Vassie was born in Beach, Georgia to Willie and Risnora Mott. Vassie came to Tampa, Florida when she was 15-years old. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and politics. The family would like to thank her caregivers at American House.
